COURSE, GEAR, AND PARKING FAQs
IS THERE A COURSE TIME LIMIT?
Yes, participants are given a maximum time of 2.5 hours for the quarter marathon and 3.5 hours for the half marathon. Anyone not off the course by that time may not receive a valid chip time and may be picked up, at race official discretion, for safety purposes.
IS THE COURSE WALKER FRIENDLY?
Yes, this course is great for both runners and walkers.
CAN I RUN WITH MY CHILD IN A STROLLER?
Yes. To ensure the safety of your child and other participants, please line up at the back of the pack due to early race congestion.
CAN I WEAR HEADPHONES DURING THE RACE?
Headphones can be worn but are discouraged due to the fact that parts of the trail are open to cyclists and audible cues are used to ensure the trail safety.
CAN I RUN WITH MY DOG?
Only service dogs are permitted.
WHERE IS THE START AND FINISH LINE?
Once you arrive, make way lake side and you'll find the trail and the start/finish lines at the bottom of the hill.
WILL THERE BE PHOTOGRAPHERS ON THE COURSE?
Yes. Photographers identify participants by their bib number, so be sure your bib number is clearly visible on the front of your shirt. You will be able to search the photographer's database using your bib number once photos have been released for purchase.

CAN I PARK AT THE ARBORETUM?
Yes, free parking is available in the main lot via the main entrance located at 8525 Garland Rd and at the 8720 Garland Rd garage.
CAN I CHECK MY GEAR ON-SITE?
No, with parking so close to the venue, gear check will not be available in the race venue in 2018. Please leave all valuables, extra gear, with any of your guests staying behind to spectate.
IS THIS A CHIP-TIMED RACE?
Yes, every runner and walker will receive a bib and chip time tag in their race packet.
